Our Pastor
Dr. Grady Gregory

Pastor Grady Gregory was born in Danville, Virginia, on December 12, 1939.
A Baptist Deacon's son, he was raised in church, and made a profession of faith at an early age, yet lived a riotous life as a young man.
He met Linda Parrish at Kroger, where they both worked, in early 1963, and in March 1963, they were married.
Sin-sick and under deep conviction, Pastor Gregory was saved in November 1964, at the foot of his bed in Chatham, Virginia. The following year, the Lord called him to preach. He attended Piedmont Bible College, and Greensboro Bible Institute.
In 1967, he accepted the pastorate of Piedmont Baptist Church in his hometown of Reidsville, North Carolina, and was pastor there until October 1978, when he accepted the call to pastor Lighthouse Baptist Church in Blacksburg, South Carolina.
Ten young men, saved under the preaching of Pastor Gregory, have been called to preach the glorious gospel of Christ and are now serving the Lord as pastors or missionaries. The full impact of his ministry will not be known until we reach Heaven. He is fond of saying, "God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good."
His life verse is: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

Mrs. Linda Gregory

Linda Gregory was raised in a church-going home. She never had a doubt there was a God who loved her and sent His Son to die. The only thing missing in her worship was a personal relationship with Him. One Sunday morning in November 1964, she heard for the first time that she was a sinner condemned, and that it was her sin that Jesus came to die for. She trusted Him that day as her Lord and Saviour, and He has always proved Himself faithful.
She met her husband, Grady Gregory, in early 1963, and they were married March 31, 1963. They have been blessed with 4 children: Pamela Lynn, now with the Lord, Glenn Gregory, Debbie Smith, and Jonathan Gregory. They have 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, with 1 on the way.
In 1973, God allowed her to go through a deep depression from which she thought she would never recover. During this time of about a year and a half, she learned to trust Him no matter what life brings. He is in control.
When asked, she is quick to tell how wonderful it is to serve the Lord. "He has been so good to me and my family. I could never repay Him for all He has done for me."
Her life verse is: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20
